About Robert M Ring

I have been taking photographs for over 30 years and have experience in 35mm, medium format and 4x5 view cameras. I use digital SLRs by both Canon & Nikon. My primary scenic camera now is the Nikon D800E.  With 36Mp this camera provides the ability to capture great detail in a scene & to then make great prints!  My backup camera is a Nikon D610 (24Mp).

I graduated from Northeastern University, here in Massachusetts, with a BSEE and have worked in Marketing & Sales after starting out in Engineering. Photography has been a significant part of my life over the years.

Photography enables me to be creative and at the same time to work with the technical aspects required to get the photo I desire.  I enjoy photographing various subjects and have been recognized by photographic associations for my work.  I have been selling prints to both consumers and corporations for interior design for many years. I feel that the finished print really represents what photography is all about.  I take special care and pride in making my prints whether for sale or for my own enjoyment.

You'll see by my galleries that New England is where I reside and take most of my photos.  I occasionally visit other parts of the country and have included some of those photos in my West Of New England gallery!  Based in New England I have the luxury of being near the coast, the mountains and the foliage in the fall!  In particular, I really enjoy the Maine coast and have been photographing it for many years. I hope you enjoy my images as much as I do.  Thanks.
