About Robert M Ring

I have been taking photographs for over 40 years and have experience in 35mm, medium format and 4x5 view cameras. I use digital SLRs by Nikon along with various Leica cameras. My primary scenic camera now is the Nikon D850.  With 45Mp this camera provides the ability to capture great detail in a scene & to then make great prints!  I am also using a Leica SL typ601 (24Mp) camera with various Leica lenses and have found the image results to be quite sharp making great prints as well.

I graduated from Northeastern University, here in Massachusetts, with a BSEE and have worked in Marketing & Sales after starting out in Engineering. Photography has been a significant part of my life over the years.

Photography enables me to be creative and at the same time to work with the technical aspects required to get the photo I desire.  I enjoy photographing various subjects and have been recognized by photographic associations for my work.  I have been selling images and prints to both consumers and corporations for interior design for many years. I feel that the finished print really represents what photography is all about.  I take special care and pride in making my prints whether for sale or for my own enjoyment.

I also provide corporate, commercial and industrial photography for various clients via assignments.

You'll see by my galleries that New England is where I reside and take most of my photos.  I occasionally visit other parts of the country and have included some of those photos in my West Of New England gallery!  Based in New England I have the luxury of being near the coast, the mountains and the foliage in the fall!  In particular, I really enjoy the Maine coast and have been photographing it for many years. I hope you enjoy my images as much as I do.  Thanks.
